Local artist Brooke Casillas is launching a collection of vintage skis restored and created into art pieces for your home. She originally intended to only photograph the vintage skis in beautiful landscapes and scenes but quickly fell in love with the skis themselves and the project evolved. Giving the skis new life seems the perfect way to honor their history and the history of skiing while bringing a piece of ski culture and lifestyle into people's interior design. The ski collection will be launching this spring with a range of skis from different time periods, places, and size.

Mountain Chalet to get renovation.
The sale of the 67-year-old hotel on Durant Avenue closed in late March for $68 million. The Mountain Chalet, the oldest owner-built lodge in Aspen, has been sold to a partnership that specializes in boutique hotels and high-end restaurants. “We hope to continue to help preserve the Aspen spirit while taking on the challenges of renovating and stewarding iconic businesses like the Chalet into the future.”
